Swan Athletic Caversham Cricket Club

The Swan Athletic Cricket Club was established in 1973/74 by a group of passionate young cricketers who had previously played for the Caversham Cricket Club. Initially starting with just one team in the Swan Helena District Cricket Association (SHDCA), the club expanded in the early 1980s to include a second XI, primarily competing in one-day competitions. Despite several close calls, the club faced challenges in first-grade semi-finals but found success in the B Grade and one-day formats, winning several premierships.

In the late 1980s and 1990s, the SHDCA maintained both A and B Grades, with the club securing its only first XI grand final win in the B Grade. The club continued to thrive in the one-day competitions, adding to its list of achievements.

In the 2003/04 season, a significant milestone was reached when Swan Athletic Cricket Club merged with Caversham Cricket Club to form the Swan Athletic Caversham Cricket Club. This merger marked the beginning of the club's participation in turf cricket as they joined the Western Australian Suburban Turf Cricket Association (WASTCA).

Today, the Swan Athletic Caversham Cricket Club is a proud division of the Swan Athletic Sporting & Community Club (Inc). The club competes in the men’s competition within WASTCA and the women’s competition within PSWL. Home games for the top two divisions are played on turf at the picturesque Lilac Hill Number 3 ground, while other divisions play on a synthetic surface at Lilac Hill Number 4 ground. The cricket season runs from October to March, with games held on Saturday afternoons.

Join us in celebrating a rich history and a vibrant future as part of the Swan Athletic Caversham Cricket Club.
